New York City: April 2015

Day 3:

Recap of Gigi last night: Precious love story, great talent, and a wonderful show overall. Highly recommend!

On this beautiful and sunny Saturday in NYC, we spent our morning in Central Park (with the rest of Manhattan). It's fun to people-watch. We made sure to grab some mochas in the shops below the Plaza Hotel. However, most do not open until 11 AM so be aware of that. We chose Épicerie Boulud! Delicious. They kept us warm when our walk through the park was shaded. Everyone seemed to be chipper as they strolled, it was lovely. We had lunch at the Boathouse in the park which is an absolute must-do. A morning spent in Central Park is a morning well-spent. After this we headed to the theatre district and stopped at Schmackary's before seeing the matinee performance of the Off-Broadway show of Disenchanted (Disney princesses gone wild)! This was a hilarious and enjoyable performance; a quick 90 minute run without intermission. The humor is inappropriate, but nonetheless humorous. If you've got an appreciation for this kind of humor its a must see! Dinner was at Bareburger, a delish all organic restaurant. Great food, shakes, and atmosphere. It was a thirty minute wait, but well worth it. Our trip has wound to a close as we are leaving tomorrow morning, but it has been a great one. Thanks for reading :)
